As a small business or individual entrepreneur, you may have little money assigned to promotion. Getting the word out about your business can be a challenge. However, many cost-effective tools exist for the penny-sensitive business, so fret not.
Here are some tips that you might find helpful in promoting your small business:
- Send out press releases about your service or product
- Collect comments/endorsements from happy clients and include them in your marketing material
- Devote at least one hour each day to call potential clients and media
- Write a newsletter or place stories in those of interest to your business
- Join relevant associations and organizations
Most of these actions require some time, but are less straining on your budget than advertising. Seek out sources that will distribute your press releases for free, send newsletters via email, and join associations and organizations that are effective but require only a small fee.
Wishing you success.
