Do You Know Where to Find Tax Forms? – RH Business Support

Do You Know Where to Find Tax Forms?

The simple answer is the IRS.

The website (http://www.irs.gov) and publications tell how to obtain forms from the Agency. Have your accountant do this assignment as certain returns have specific deadlines. The Form 1099, for example, should be done by certain due dates – January 31 to the contractor and February 28 to the IRS.

The Agency imposes late penalties for filing after the due date. Only the authorized original (RED)1099 and corresponding 1096 are accepted by the IRS – No copies!

It seems if you have not yet filed your Form 1099 for 2007, you will be expected to pay a penalty.
